12/24/13 BIBLE PASSAGE (Deuteronomy 5, 6, 7)
As part of his farewell speech, Moses admonished Israelites not to forget their encounters with God in the wilderness. They must remember the time that God invited them for a dialogue on the mountain. God spoke through smoke and fire, and they were terrified. Meanwhile, they confessed and said, “Surely the Lord our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from the midst of the fire. We have seen this day that God speaks with man; yet he still lives” (Deuteronomy 5:24).
God is real. He loves us, and he is willing to make his presence known in our lives. The Almighty God does not disappoint anyone, and he will create a lasting memory of goodness to anyone who solely trusts him.
Dear God, please give me grace to enjoy your goodness abundantly. Endow your overwhelming blessings that will create a lasting memory on my mind. Once I am blessed, enable me to return to give you due appreciations. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
