1/6/14 BIBLE PASSAGE (Luke 6:27-49)
Jesus Christ taught some fundamental truths that no other teacher could confront. He emphatically taught various topics that were contradictory to the conventional knowledge of his time. The Messiah instructed people and said:
- Bless those who curse you (Luke 6:28)
- Give to everyone who asks you something (Luke 6:30)
- Do as you want other people to do to you (Luke 6:31)
- Love your enemies (Luke 6:35)
- Do not judge others (Luke 6:37)
- Give abundant charity to other people (Luke 6:38)
The teachings of Jesus Christ remain consistent throughout scriptures. The Messiah emphasized that all people – without exception – must comply with God’s requirements of holiness. He stated that we must fully comply with God’s standards before we can be welcome to heaven. Meanwhile, The Savior hammered the fact that no one will successfully enter into God’s kingdom without demonstrating infallible love that can only be expressed through the Holy Spirit.
Dear Jesus Christ, please do not let me serve you in vain. Do not let me waste my time by remaining a nominal Christian. Help me to maintain a serious relationship with you. Let me be your true child that complies with your holiness standards. At the end of it all, let me be welcome to heaven to receive your precious imperishable crown of glory. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
